Testimonials

"Love to see you sweat" is the motto in our household!!  When it comes to our 6-year-old son Qristian, in a time when you really don't see kids just playing outside, we LOVE and LIVE for our sports schedule.  Mom and Dad insist he stay ACTIVE all year round.  Another saying we have, must always finish what you start.  Qristian doesn't HAVE to play a particular sport again if he doesn't like it (like soccer) but he must finish what he starts.  So, when it came to basketball, we have actually tried a couple other "programs" that it felt like we had to convince Qristian to get ready for and go to.  With Jason Wright's basketball camp Qristian asks "what day is it today?" because he knows on Sat. (and some Fri.'s) he gets to go to JW Basketball and he can't wait!  Jason gives great instruction and talks to the kids not at them.  We also like that Jason shows the kids everything he's asking them to do not barking instructions from the sidelines.  We LOVE JW BASKETBALL and will continue to participate and follow Jason until he retires...or my son's in the NBA.

Thanks for everything,

Jacquee and Marquise Logan

Hundreds of coaches and trainers offer camps, classes, and clinics, but very few offer a "coach for life".  Jason Wright has this gift of pushing a child to his/her highest ability, but the key is that this child KNOWS Jason cares for him/her as a person first!  This is why they play with such confidence and intensity!   My son Teddy has been training with Jason for the past two years now, and his game has definitely improved immensely!  Teddy is going into fifth grade, but his story is far from ordinary.  2 years ago Teddy watched his older sister who was 10 at the time play in a game "off" the court.  Diagonosed with a rare cancer, Teddy stood by his sister as she played in the "Game of Life".  On May 29th, 2005 she won not a trophy or medal, but the "Championship Game of Life" and earned the highest victory in Heaven.  His sister, Christina was a competitor in sports just like Teddy, but learned through faith that the crucial game is not played on any court or field!  What happens one day when we can't dribble the ball behind our back, swish a 3-pointer, and we can't shut down the defense---when we are stripped away of everything we have ever known?  We are not defined by who we are "on the court", but are defined by the person we become "off" of it! I share Christina's story with you so that you can see where Teddy has been.  He knows it is not about the trophy or medal.  He knows he needs to make every "moment" count right now, and give it his all.  Jason helps him do this!  Is it beneficial that Jason teaches Teddy basketball skills so well?  Yes.  But, even more importantly, Jason is giving him "life-skills" !  You can't put a price on that gift!!! What a blessing he has been to our whole family!!!

The JW Basketball clinic is something you don't won't your child to miss. From beginner to intermediate they understand how to provide the fundamental instructions that every child needs to improve their skills. All the coaches make the experience a total pleasure for the kids and the parents. I highly recommend it.

Jason and all the coaches I have met are very impressive, absolutely.  The combination of skill, knowledge, respect, positive attitude and encouragement toward the children is a winning combination!  This program is awesome because the people running it are awesome.  The kids get so much more out of this than just basketball skills.

My son Marc had his best camp ever with you last week.  I had to encourage Marc to go, but, once in he had the time of his life.  I had to pull himearly on the last day to pick up my other son and he got very upset because he was enjoying the camp so much. The drill were excellent and game times were fun.  The experience was remarkable for Marc and he will definitely be coming back to you for more. I too enjoy your camps and I watch and learn your drills to use them during my team practices.

Jason was the first basketball coach that stretched my son’s abilities and really challenged him in his workouts. We started to train with Jason in the 5th grade and this accelerated all parts of his game and conditioning. Jason is one of the few coaches that my son looks forward to training with because he knows that he will get a great workout and he has 100% total respect for Jason and his training knowledge. There just in no one better in a group setting than JW.

Thanks to their participation in JW Basketball clinics, our two sons (age 9 & 11) have developed ball handling and shooting skills far beyond their peer groups at school.  Jason Wright and his team have a strong work ethic and laser focus on fundamentals that has rubbed off on our sons.  Every time they shoot with a perfect follow-through or cross over dribble I thank JW Basketball for teaching them those skills so well.   Also, Jason’s positive, can-do attitude is very beneficial for all the kids he teaches.  Jason’s wonderful way with people is a key ingredient to JW Basketball’s incredible success with young basketball enthusiasts throughout Southern California.

Our 10 year old loved the JW Basketball program.  He loves to play, but really did not know how even though he was playing on a team.  He went to one of the six week clinics at JW in Huntington Beach and the improvement he made was amazing.  He learned so many helpful tactics and actually has begun using them.  We plan on having him attend another six week clinic this fall as well.
